The sixth launch-day demo, probably the last one of the day, was sharing and collaboration. It's a peek into where we're going with [Basedash](https://www.tomjohn.design/content/basedash). The first versions are in, but after we launch, if we get more people in the product, we're really excited to push it further [(0:18)](#t=18). I showed it on the website dashboard of Google Analytics data from [the integrations demo](https://www.tomjohn.design/content/basedash-integrations) [(0:26)](#t=26). You can copy a link, or hit Command-Option-C, but you can also copy it as a PNG, which generates a picture of the dashboard and puts it on your clipboard, so you can paste it in Slack, a spreadsheet or a slide deck, anywhere you want [(0:41)](#t=41).

![Copying the website dashboard as a PNG, captioned as I say: “but I can also go here and say copy as PNG, and what that'll do is it'll generate a PNG of this dashboard and it'll copy it to my clipboard,”](https://nlzkl2bo0qmd3uti.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/talks/clips/basedash-sharing/copy-as-png-haFo0ojWGXcMxaEkYvo1jPTp9jf8WI.mp4 "Clip")

Inside a chart, the share button isn't just a link, it's a share to Slack [(1:10)](#t=70). With Slack connected, I picked the growth channel, wrote "Whoa, look at this chart", hit share to growth, and it was in there, so they can see the trends, click on it and come in [(1:23)](#t=83).

![Sharing a chart to the growth channel in Slack, captioned as I say: “say whoa, look at this chart, and they're going to say what's going on, and I just hit share to growth, and it's in there.”](https://nlzkl2bo0qmd3uti.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/talks/clips/basedash-sharing/share-to-growth-gHpmDtbaNbAoHM5ZkNb2oKgrXr3SGe.mp4 "Clip")

You can also jump to where your teammates are. In a product like this, like with Notion or whatever, it's really annoying to know Derek is on this page but not where he is [(1:46)](#t=106). If I hover over a teammate there's a little button, and I can jump right to Derek and join him on the same page, whether he's in a SQL query, somewhere pretty nested, or on a chart page [(1:54)](#t=114).

![Hovering over Derek in the sidebar to jump to his page, captioned as I say: “So if I hover over a teammate over here, I can see this little button here, and I can just jump right to Derek, join him with the same page.”](https://nlzkl2bo0qmd3uti.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/talks/clips/basedash-sharing/jump-to-derek-tgKRRILhgz9doYkAXnYdxYFYoRM0fJ.mp4 "Clip")

The next steps for charts and sharing were going to be automated sharing, email sharing and more [(2:10)](#t=130). But the important thing right then was making sure Basedash charts weren't just the best looking, they were also the easiest to share to other places [(2:21)](#t=141).
