Adding logo downloads to our site with Framer AI

Felix from Lovable posted about right-clicking a logo to download it, and I realized we used to have that on the Basedash site and never added it back when we redid it. So I tried it live with Framer's new AI (0:03). Making a new component with AI is super buried in the menus, which is one bit of feedback I have for the Framer team (0:57).

My prompt was for a header I could right-click, with the SVG logo as its background and a menu flying out with SVG, PNG and brand mark downloads, all configurable (1:07).

Most of it came quickly. The hard part was where prompting is imprecise. I know exactly how to do it with Framer's property controls, but I don't know the exact words to say it (4:30). The same thing happened with the hover on the menu rows: I asked for 50 milliseconds, and I know what that will look like, but tuning it by typing numbers is a different thing from seeing it (6:56).

I shared the component so you don't have to go through all that prompting (7:59), and I wrote up how to make it. The video already had my captions on it, so the clips here keep those.

When I posted it on X I wrote:

Saw Felix Haas’s post about letting everyone download your logo on right-click, and realized I can now do it easily for our site with the new Framer AI features. So I did, and recorded the process. I also added some smooooooth smooth jazz 🎷 to the background because WHY NOT.
